Team Guandalini Racing - Assen TT - Qualify 1 - 24 April 2009
As predicted from the last race preview, Jakub Smrz performed extremely well in the first Qualifyng Session on the Dutch Assen Circuit. Jakub obtained an excellent 1.39.055, just 308 milliseconds from the first place Ben Spies (1.38.747). Brendan Roberts had a few problems with his bike and tomorrow will seek to improve his twenty-first position obtained in 1.40.944.
“We did a good job for Jakub Smrz who obtained a very good time in the Qualifyng Session, while we had some problems on front setting for Brendan Roberts. We’ll try to find a solution as soon as possible to give him the best conditions tomorrow to improve his results.
We are confident about tomorrow and hope to improve the performance of Brendan and to maintain the excellent performance obtained by Jakub Smrz, keeping in mind the high level of competitiveness this year."
